Getting Good With Schema.org MicroData

In early June 2011, the three big search engines Bing, Google and Yahoo! introduced Schema.org, a collection of terms that webmasters can use to markup their pages to improve the display of search results.
In one of my earlier blog post on inserting schema.org microdata markup in WordPress, i introduced what schema is all about and how you can implement it on WordPress CMS , i urge you to read it to get a grasp of what we are talking about. But today, am going to expantiate on it by providing some useful information and web tool resources I found while doing some digging as regard schema.org markup.

Schema-creator.org – Create HTML With Schema.org Microdata

Now that you know how important schema microdata is, and you want to start inserting it in your HTML document or web pages, inserting these tags can be very difficult and sucking. To make inserting the schema markup to your HTML document easier, use Schema Creator.
To use this web service, choose the schema type at the left sidebar, fill the form with the appropriate data.

Afterward, copy the resultant code at the right and past it in your HTML document.

Microdatagenerator.com – Generate Rich Snippets Easily

Just like Schema-creator above, Microdatagenerator.com make it easy for web developers and the SEO guys to create schema markup.
It is a simple generator that allows you to input basic information and have that info converted into the standard schema.org markup structure.
There are a lot of markup types, so this will be a work in progress (check back often) – hopefully you’ll find this useful. The Microdata Generator uses markup structure and vocabulary found on Schema.org.

Web.instata – Convert CSV files To Schema Markup HTML document

Michael Hausenblas develops web.instata that takes a CSV file as input and generates an HTML document with the data items marked up with Schema.org terms. The output is template-able, that is the data-in-HTML format can be anything, from microdata to RDFa or whatever you desire. The tool is written in Python and has no external dependencies.

Schema Drupal Module

If you are a Drupal developer or uses it, there is a module for mapping Drupal content structure to schema.org vocabularies.
