How To Setup CloudFlare For Your Website

CloudFlare offer a feature-rich free plan, no credit-card required such as follows the steps below to set up cloudflare for your website.

  1. Register and login to your CloudFlare account.
  2. Insert your website URL and click the Add website button.

  3. Cloudflare will perform a 60s scan of your site, after which click the Continue setup button.

  4. You should see a page containing all DNS record of your domain. if there is any missing record(unlikely), add them and click the Continue button.

  5. Next, choose your desire plan, and tweak the settings as you like and hit the continue button. i advice you do not alter the settings if you don’t know what they meant.

  6. The final step is to update the name servers for the domain. To do this, you will need to go to your DNS provider and change your nameservers. Once updated, return and click the green button.

  7. You should now see a congratulation message on successfully setting up CloudFlare
